When a covered part fails, take the car to any GMR authorised panel workshop. They diagnose it and file the claim for you, and GMR settles parts and labour with the workshop directly, up to your programme's limit. If the car is not safe to drive, towing is covered to RM300.
Who actually pays the claim
Guard My Ride was founded in 2015 by Gerard Law and operates as an independent third-party warranty provider rather than a dealer add-on. Every programme is developed and underwritten with RHB Insurance, so a claim is not resting on whichever dealer sold you the car still being in business three years from now.
That backing is the reason dealers put their own customers onto it. Carro, Sime Darby Auto Selection, Evo Malaysia and Hyundai all place GMR programmes on the vehicles they sell, and Sime Darby Auto Selection runs natively integrated programmes with GMR, including one for pre-owned BMW plug-in hybrids.
GMR was an SME100 Awards winner in 2019, and claims are handled by dedicated adjusters working straight with the workshop rather than through the customer.
